The written exams of the 2026 main session are over: the last paper, English, took place on Wednesday, June 10 across all sections. The session opened on Wednesday, June 3 with the philosophy exam and ran over six days, June 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10, 2026.
A six-day session
According to the June 1 press conference of the head of the national exams office, 162,435 candidates registered this year, in public schools, private schools and as individual candidates. Philosophy opened the session for every section, worth a coefficient of 4 in Letters, 1 in the science sections and 1.5 in Sport. Practical and oral exams ran from May 14 to 23, after the physical education tests of the sport track in April.
The English paper marked the end of the written round. Every paper is now available with its correction, and this is the best moment to compute your average before results are proclaimed, expected mid-June.
Where to find the papers
The official past papers archive lists every subject paper by section, subject and session, with its correction. To train under real conditions, the timed mock exam reproduces the exact exam format.
Next stop: the make-up session
Unsuccessful candidates retake their papers from June 29 to July 2, with results expected mid-July. For those already admitted, university orientation comes next, with choice selection from June 26. The average calculator applies the exact coefficients of your section, and the bac calendar lists every remaining date.
