The final results of the external teacher recruitment exam have been published. Successful candidates will take up their posts on 14 September 2026, announced Education Minister Noureddine Nouri during a visit to the Nabeul governorate.

What was announced

Noureddine Nouri was on an inspection visit on 10 September 2026, including at the new Bir Bouregba secondary school in Hammamet. It was there that he confirmed the publication of the results and the date when the new recruits will start in their assigned schools.

Another major announcement: 23 new school complexes will be opened across all regional directorates for this school year.

The Bir Bouregba school

The new Bir Bouregba complex cost 8 million and 200 thousand dinars. It is designed for a target of 700 pupils.

Its purpose is clear: to ease overcrowding at the Sidi Jedidi and Bir Bouregba middle schools, as well as the Bouzina secondary school. The site will also serve as a pilot for the gradual rollout of the single-session day.

Maintenance before the new year

On the maintenance side, 1,200 preventive maintenance operations were carried out in partnership with civil society. Enough to get the buildings ready before the pupils arrive.

Why it matters to you

If you are sitting the bac in 2027, this school year is yours. New schools could mean less overcrowding in existing schools, and newly recruited teachers arriving from mid-September.

The bac 2027 exam timetable was not included in this announcement. Official dates will be published on the ministry website, education.gov.tn, as every year. On bac.tn, you will also find exam summonses and results as soon as they go online.

Until the new year starts, keep an eye on the ministry's official circulars: that is where the real information appears, not on social media rumours.
